Ethics

As part of my business philosophy, I am honored to be a member of NAPO. NAPO is The National Association of Professional Organizers. This group is made up of approximately 4,200 professional organizers who are dedicated to helping individuals and businesses bring order and efficiency to their lives. Our vision is to have the world recognize the value of organizing and turn to NAPO as the leading organizing authority. Our mission is to develop, lead, and promote professional organizers and the organizing industry.

NAPO members teach organizing skills, helping clients to "find what they need and need what they find," thereby saving time and money, reducing stress, and improving their quality of life.

  • NAPO members help improve clients' lifestyles by transferring organizing skills that last.
  • As a personal trainer creates custom workout plans for each client, so does a professional organizer. NAPO members realize what works for one person might not work for another, so they strive to help people become "organized enough" at whatever level with which they are most comfortable.

By being a member of NAPO, I abide by the NAPO code of ethics:

Working Relationships:

  • I will serve my clients with integrity, competence, and objectivity, and will treat them with respect and courtesy.
  • I will offer services in those areas in which I am qualified and will accurately represent those qualifications in both verbal and written communications.
  • When unable or unqualified to fulfill requests for services, I will make every effort to recommend the services of other qualified organizers and/or other qualified professionals.
  • I will advertise my services in an honest manner and will represent the organizing profession accurately.

Confidentiality

  • I will keep confidential all client information, both business and personal, including that which may be revealed by other organizers.
  • I will use proprietary client information only with the client's permission.
  • I will keep client information confidential and not use it to benefit myself or my firm, or reveal this information to others.
